伊朗新年之前，小女孩纳西亚（艾达•莫哈默德哈尼 Aida Mohammadkhani 饰）随妈妈到集市购买过年用品，路过驯蛇人的摊位，发现众人围观，挤进去才发现他正在吆喝，要观众掏钱看蛇类表演，并贩卖肥大的金鱼。纳西亚很想买一只金鱼，但是因为家境贫寒，妈妈手里只有500图曼的过年钱，而一条鱼要100图曼，所以妈妈只得带着纳西亚回家。她本想用新年礼物跟妈妈讨价还价，但却被严词拒绝。失望的她只得拜托哥哥帮忙，结果哥哥说服了妈妈，把500图曼给了她。纳西亚把钱放进小鱼罐，兴冲冲地跑到养蛇人的摊位，准备满足心愿。然而事情在此突然发生了转机……...

「你会自己铺床吗？」西蒙摇头否定。头部不自然晃动、声称缺乏自理能力的西蒙，在山上偶遇一队身心障碍青少年，很快地与他们打成一片，还与少年潘文成为麻吉，加入了他们的特教学校。他戴上助听器，做出相仿举止，在这里找到归属。跟着潘文，他习得身心障碍者的各种本领，两人厮混、闯祸，直到中心发现西蒙根本没有身心障碍证明文件⋯⋯...
